Reverend Jennifer M. Slade

Reverend Slade, or Jennifer as most of us call her, is a graduate of Harvard Divinity School. Ordained in 1992 she has been in the ministry for 15 years. She has served as a hospital chaplain in Kalamazoo, Michigan, after which she came South, with her husband John, to serve a UU church in Greenville, South Carolina.  (She has been told that both her children, Emma age 10 and Sam age 13, are, by fortunate accident of birth, southerners.)

After serving the Greenville congregation for 10 years, Jennifer left to follow her husband to Durham where he had been offered a position at Duke University.

While living in Durham, Jennifer has begun to make connections to the Clinton community.  She is currently serving on the County Task Force organized to confront the issue of Meth-amphetamine addiction in Sampson County.

She loves the folks at Red Hill and finds them to be a very welcoming congregation.
